Cupcakes and Carnivals

Lately I've been seeing inspiration boards with a coloful carnival theme, very Americana and fun. I've paired one of these boards up from Bliss Events with Cupcake Chardonnay, and under $12 find at Cost Plus World Market which complements the theme nicely. Note that the wine can be had in Merlot, Cab, and Sauvignon Blanc too if you want to get a red and a white with matching labels. Line them up on a bright yellow tablecloth and they'll make a statement!

Parisian Chic

Today's pick is not a wine but a liquer that is HOT right now in the cocktail bar scene to create custom drinks. St Germain is a liquer made from elderflower and has the pedigree and look that fits great with a Parisian/Art Deco/Chic/Black and White reception. Can't you just see a line of these lovely bottles on top of a mahogany 1930s bar somewhere? Lovely.

black and white and red

Today's "wine for weddings" selection comes from Cost Plus World Market. Fontanafredda Briccontondo Barbera from the Piemonte region of Italy. While under $12 retail in most markets, this vino is super quality and is palate pleasing for your wedding guests. Great with beef, pork, poultry - even salmon.
